Dusty E. Gross is an attorney at MacGillis Law Group, LLC, where she primarily represents police and fire unions in labor and employment matters. Dusty is known for building strong client relationships, providing practical and solution-focused legal advice, and tirelessly advocating to secure fair outcomes for those she represents. She is committed to protecting the rights and interests of public safety professionals and approaches every case with care.

Recognizing that each case is unique, Dusty carefully reviews her clients’ individual circumstances, goals, and challenges, tailoring her approach to effectively meet their needs.

Beyond her work at the firm, Dusty actively serves her community through volunteer roles with the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic and Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Mentor 2.0 program. She is also an active member of the Association for Women Lawyers.

Before joining MacGillis Law Group, Dusty gained valuable experience as a law clerk for a national motor manufacturing company based in Wisconsin and a boutique law firm specializing in civil litigation and employment law. She also completed internships with the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Risk Management Department, the Presiding Judge of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, and the Chief Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Her commitment to public service earned her induction into the Pro Bono Honors Society for completing over 100 hours of volunteer work.

Dusty earned her Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School, where she served as Managing Editor of the Marquette Benefits and Social Welfare Law Review, President of the Health Law Society, and 2L Class Representative for First Generation Professionals. She was also awarded the Middleman Scholarship, the Thomas More Scholarship, and the Shirley Abrahamson Scholarship.

Prior to law school, Dusty worked as a paralegal across various practice areas. She holds an associate degree in Paralegal Studies from Fox Valley Technical College and a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh, both earned with honors.

A lifelong Wisconsin resident, Dusty enjoys exploring Milwaukee with her significant other, Justin, and their dogs, Charlee Anne and Laycee Anne. In her free time, she enjoys cycling, spending time in Northern Wisconsin, and recreational golf.
