David J. Lisko

David J. Lisko serves as Of Counsel to MacGillis Law Group, bringing decades of trial experience and a unique passion for the art of persuasion. Around the office, he’s affectionately known as “The Professor” or “Yoda”—a reflection of both his love of Star Wars and the wisdom he brings to every case.

In his role, David works closely with our attorneys behind the scenes to help develop case strategy, identify compelling themes, prepare witnesses, conduct focus groups, and refine the stories that juries ultimately hear. His focus is simple: helping clients be understood. He believes the strongest cases aren’t just built on facts—they’re built on clear, honest communication that helps jurors appreciate the real impact an injury has had on a person’s life.

Over the course of his career, David has tried well over 100 cases involving personal injury, medical malpractice, motor vehicle collisions, premises liability, lemon law claims, and motor vehicle fraud. That experience allows him to provide valuable insight at every stage of a case, from preparation through trial.

A past board member of both the Wisconsin Association for Justice and the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, David remains a trusted resource to attorneys throughout Wisconsin. While his experience is extensive, he is quick to shift attention away from himself. Ask David about his work, and he’ll likely steer the conversation back to the client—the person whose story deserves to be heard.

Outside the office, David enjoys golf, reading, hiking, downhill skiing, and staying active through OrangeTheory Fitness. He has also spent more than 30 years ministering to men as a small group leader at his local church.

David considers his greatest blessings to be his two daughters, Sarah and Katie, and his granddaughter, Stella.
